Suffolk puff christmas tree on Patch & Quilt
Suffolk Puffs were very popular in the early 1900s. Oddments of beautiful silks and satins were recycled and mixed together to form these circles which were then joined together in a matrix to form shawls, wraps and coverlets or used as separate motifs to embellish bags, hats and all sorts of fashion and furnishing items.
This motif brings a modern use for the technique.
